The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at UCLA is back this year! (Not that it went anywhere)
I really love this event, I go almost every year I am in LA. It's like the world's largest book fair and I'm just nerdy enough to think that's cool.
It's on the UCLA main campus and admission is free (parking $8). Read More Here

Fun Thing To Do: Kickball
WAKA® is the World Adult Kickball Association® - the preeminent adult kickball organization and the world authority and governing body of kickball.
I used to play in a league in Hollywood; it’s a lot of fun. The people are cool and any sports league that has a division bar gets my approval. The season is starting very soon, get more info here.

Maila Nurmi, aka Vampira, the first TV horror host, died Jan. 10 of natural causes. Although she gave much to the horror community, she did not have very much money in the end. A coalition of fans is working to get Nurmi interred at Hollywood Forever cemetery, where she rightly belongs. A memorial fund has been set up to achieve this goal, and this show will benefit that cause. Get Tickets Here
Hopefully I will be able to make it to this event, I do have a double birthday party that day involving horseback riding. I'll let you know how it all works out.
