The Wiener Dog Nationals are coming to Los Alamitos Race Course! Wiener dogs everywhere have been hitting the track in preparation for the Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals, a spirited and thrilling Dachshund race to crown the fastest wiener dog in the nation. Wiener fanatics, coaches and their sausage-like athletes prepare all year for these electrifying races. All proceeds benefit the Seal Beach Animal Care Center. Love Wieners Here

Fun Thing To Do: Comedy Walk

On the second Thursday of every month is the Comedy Walk! It's held in cooperation with the Los Angeles Downtown Art Walk, a monthly event that draws a crowd of 3,000 people to 30 participating neighborhood art galleries. Art Walk is held from noon to 9pm. Comedy Walk is held from 8:30pm to 10pm. Both events are FREE. Come early and hang out at 30 participating art galleries. The Comedy Walk is 6 simultaneous 90-minute shows at venues within one block, a different comedy act every ten minutes. Laugh Here

The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at UCLA is back this year! (Not that it went anywhere)
I really love this event, I go almost every year I am in LA. It's like the world's largest book fair and I'm just nerdy enough to think that's cool.
It's on the UCLA main campus and admission is free (parking $8). Read More Here
